Energy-aware load balancing in 5G HetNet

Network traffic can be offloaded between a macro and small cells in HetNets. This project explores dynamic load balancing policies that save energy by shutting off small cells whenever possible.

Cost-performance optimization in horizontally-scaled systems

Horizontal scaling enables us to build highly-available fault-tolerant systems, e.g. in cloud computing. This project studies the cost-performance trade-off that inherently exists in horizontal scaling.

Used car value estimation

The value (price) of a used car is influenced by several factors such as it's mileage, model, repair history, etc. This project applies linear regression to try and estimate a used car's value using a simple set of features.

Power proportional computing

A CPU's computational capability is proportional to its power supply. This project investigates and quantifies the relationship between CPU frequency, power consumption and system load.
